Taishan Group’s Improvement on The Cyclone Separator of CFB Boiler

With the promotion of energy-saving and environmental protection measures, it has put forward higher requirements on the boiler industry. In response to the call of the country and government, Taishan Boiler specially organize produced conduct in-depth research and transformation of our boilers. Among them, a major breakthrough was made in CFB boilers-CFB boiler cyclone separator patent.

As we all know, the cyclone separator is one of the core components of the CFB boiler. After the fuel is burned, the produced fly ash is passed through the cyclone separator, and the solid particles in it are separated from the flue gas. There are some incompletely burned fuel and unreacted desulfurizer in the solid particles. This part of the solid particles will be re-injected into the furnace for combustion and desulfurization reaction. While improving the combustion efficiency, it also improves the desulfurization efficiency and reduces the amount of desulfurizer used. The improvement of combustion efficiency and the recycling and reuse of desulfurizer have reduced the overall use cost of the boiler (fuel and desulfurization agent) correspondingly, realizing the goal of energy saving.

The role of cyclone separator

1. Separate the solid particles from the flue gas

5. Adopting a tube-clad furnace wall, reducing the amount of refractory materials, reducing the load-bearing capacity of the boiler, and reducing the cost of refractory materials for users

6. 850℃ provides the best place for SNCR to be out of stock. The flue gas stays in the separator for more than 1.7S, and the denitration efficiency can reach more than 70%

Traditional CFB boiler has a low separator separation efficiency and a low cycle rate, which in turn results in low fuel combustion efficiency, and the thermal efficiency of the boiler cannot be improved. Our new CFB boiler adopts a single-drum, high-temperature single center cyclone separator structure (M-type layout). The furnace, separator, and tail shaft are independent of each other, and welded and sealed very well, which solves the boiler seal problem and also improve the boiler combustion efficiency. At present, the efficiency of our CFB boiler is over 89.5%.
